No Dial Tone on the CSC1000

If you are not hearing a dial tone on your CSC1000, try the following: 
  1. If you are not hearing sound in the handset, push the speakerphone button. If the speakerphone works, then the handset may need to be replaced.  Check to make sure the curly cord is firmly plugged in to the side of the phone and that is is not damaged.
  2. If the speakerphone has no sound, check to see if the timer comes up on the Caller ID screen. If you see the timer on the screen, then the phone thinks it has connection.  If you see the timer, try moving the phone to a different jack and outlet. If moving to a new phone jack does not re-establish sound, then the phone will probably need to be returned for repair.
  3. Do the other phones in the house work?  If none of the phones work, it could be the line itself. Check the Caller ID screen on the CSC1000 to see if it displays "Line in Use" or "No Line." If either of these are displayed, unplug the CSC1000 phone and see if the other phones work. If the other phones resume working once the CSC1000 is unplugged, then the problem is with the CSC1000 and it will need to be returned for repair.
